3. Enjoy Jazz in the Garden on Friday Evening

Singer-songwriter Joe Pug is scheduled to perform on Friday, July 17. The advance ticket lottery has closed, but a limited number of day-of passes are expected to be distributed near the Sculpture Garden entrances beginning at 5:00 p.m.

4. Explore the New Lincoln Memorial Undercroft

The Lincoln Memorial Undercroft includes approximately 15,000 square feet of exhibitions beneath the memorial. Visitors can learn about the monument’s construction, architectural design and changing meaning throughout American history.
The space also includes dramatic views of the memorial’s foundations, immersive presentations, upgraded elevators, restrooms and an expanded bookstore.

The National Museum of African Art will host Stars, Stripes, and Stadiums: America’s 250th & FIFA 2026 on Saturday.

This weekend is the final opportunity to experience At the Vanguard at the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
The exhibition brings together more than 100 objects from Clark Atlanta University, Florida A&M University, Jackson State University, Texas Southern University and Tuskegee University.
Through art, archives and historic materials, the exhibition explores how Historically Black Colleges and Universities have influenced American education, culture, innovation, activism and creativity.

Visitors looking for a quieter Sunday activity can explore Dear America: Artists Explore the American Experience at the National Gallery of Art.
